HPCO and the Windsor Essex Compassion Care Community invite you to participate in the Connected by Community Challenge. This challenge recognizes and celebrates life stories as well as creative and original works that reflect one or more of these important compassionate community themes:
– Dying, Loss, Grief and Remembrance
– Compassion, Kindness and Caring for Others
– Resiliency (Surviving and Thriving in the Pandemic)
As we begin to look forward to recovery, it is time to celebrate the importance of community, the resiliency of our people, and the ways we build stronger connections with others.
Submissions are open now until September 6. The event is open to any Ontario resident of any age. Winners will be selected for each age, creative and story category. Additionally, special recognition prizes will be awarded to highest ranked submissions from participants who self-identify from Indigenous, Black, and LGBTQ2+ communities, or those with disabilities. Submissions will be offered for public viewing through our Virtual Community Exhibition coming in September.
