Hospice Palliative Care Ontario (HPCO) is the active voice that represents and supports all hospices in Ontario, people working in palliative care, and individuals who require care. HPCO believes that every person and family should have access to the finest standard of hospice palliative care. HPCO supports hospices throughout Ontario to focus on improving the quality of life for both patients and families living with chronic illnesses and bereavement. Our members provide service in over 450 communities in Ontario, and there are over 15,000 hospice volunteers dedicated to caring for over 30,000 clients each year.
HPCO also promotes Advance Care Planning education and resources for the pubic on our advancecareplanningontario.ca website.
HPCO’s online hospice volunteer learning program trains over 2,000 hospice volunteers every year, allowing local hospices to focus on caring. Your donations help maintain the learning environment to ensure that volunteers are equipped with the skills necessary to provide a high standard of quality care at a fraction of the cost of training volunteers locally.
