Facilitating Equitable Access to Hospice Care in Socially Deprived Areas

Access to care can be influenced by many factors including one’s socioeconomic status. French and colleagues (2022) conducted a study to explore the relationship between social deprivation and access to hospice care in the United Kingdom. This study suggests that aspects related to service organization and delivery influenced how hospices connect with people from socially deprived areas and provided implications for theory, practice, and research.
