Hospice Palliative Care Ontario (HPCO) is the active voice representing and supporting all hospices in Ontario, people working in palliative care, and individuals requiring care. HPCO believes that every person and family should have access to the finest standard of hospice palliative care.
HPCO supports hospices throughout Ontario, which focus on improving the quality of life for patients and families living with chronic illnesses and bereavement. Our member hospices provide services in over 450 communities across Ontario. These hospices care for more than 30,000 clients each year and provide grief and bereavement support to over 50,000 people.
HPCO also promotes Advance Care Planning education and resources for the public on our advancecareplanningontario.ca website.
HPCO’s online hospice volunteer learning program trains over 2,200 hospice volunteers annually, allowing local hospices to focus on caring. Your donations help maintain the learning environment to ensure that volunteers are equipped with the skills necessary to provide a high standard of quality care at a fraction of the cost of training volunteers locally.
