Hospice Palliative Care Ontario (HPCO) is the active voice that represents and supports all hospices in Ontario, people working in palliative care, and individuals who require care. HPCO believes that every person and family should have access to the finest standard of hospice palliative care.
HPCO supports hospices throughout Ontario in improving the quality of life for patients and families living with chronic illnesses and experiencing bereavement. Our member hospices provide services in over 450 communities across Ontario. These hospices care for more than 30,000 clients each year and provide grief and bereavement support to another 50,000 people. HPCO also promotes Advance Care Planning education and resources for the pubic on our advancecareplanningontario.ca website.
HPCO’s online hospice volunteer learning program trains over 2,600 hospice volunteers annually, allowing local hospices to focus on caring. Your donation helps ensure that volunteers are equipped with the skills needed to provide high-quality care at no cost to volunteers or the local hospice.
Please note that HPCO has partnered with CanadaHelps, a national registered charity that supports other charities with donation processing. We do this to keep HPCO’s fundraising costs at a minimum. CanadaHelps will issue your receipt for income tax purposes. Once your donation payment is processed, the donation is final. A receipt for income tax purposes is issued immediately and emailed to you. Donations cannot be modified or refunded once the receipt for income tax purposes is issued.
