New study aims to bridge the gap between patients and doctors

I-GAP is the National Research Project to assess and stimulate ACP in primary care settings. The intent of the project is to recruit primary care practices into the i-GAP study. Our national Advance Care Planning initiative, Speak Up, is acting as the Network Coordinator and knowledge mobilizer for this project. As well the Speak Up website will have a focused area on i-GAP with a link to the CARENET website with the i-GAP materials. Read the news release and view the recruitment poster.

If you are a primary care physician and would like to participate in the study, please contact Louise Hanvey, i-GAP Network Manager and Director, Advance Care Planning in Canada/Speak Up at (613) 421-6471, or by email at
